The colours used in Masaccio`s paintings, who was born not far from Il Borro, are the most important sources of inspiration for the entire design project. The surrounding landscape and the small village (borro) define the setting and match the choice of colours and materials to be used in the various spaces.

The materials, like wood, and iron are characteristic materials of the Tuscan tradition and countryside, interpreted in a contemporary manner. The contrast between the traditional furniture in chestnut wood and the contemporary glass walls and stainless steel kitchen create a harmonious setting with strong sensorial and unique spaces.
